TUSAYAN VISITOR INFORMATION

Tusayan is located about two miles south of the south entrance to the Grand Canyon.  The whole town is only six or eight blocks long.  Although it is small, it offers a surprisingly good selection of motels, restaurants, gift shops, and other services. 

The two main fast food places in Tusayan are McDonalds and Wendys. They are centrally located in town.  McDonalds is on the east side of Highway 64, phone 928-638-2208, and Wendys is on the west side of Highway 64, phone 928-638-6484.  From Memorial Day to Labor Day, McDonalds opens at 5:00 A.M.  The rest of the year it opens at 6:00 A.M.

When at the Canyon, there is no need to worry about missing the creature comforts of home.  The Krispy Kreme doughnut store and Pizza Hut Express are in the middle of town on the west side of Highway 64.  Both are in the same building.  Phone 928-638-4629.

The Best Western Grand Canyon Squire Inn is in the south part of town on the west side of Highway 64.  Phone 928-638-2681.

The 7 mile lodge is in the middle of town on the west side of Highway 64.  Phone 928-638-2291.

The Cafe Tusayan is in the middle of town on the west side of Highway 64.  Phone 928-638-2151.

The Holiday Inn Express is in the south part of town on the west side of Highway 64.  Phone 928-638-3000.

The Quality Inn is in the middle of town one block west of Highway 64.  Phone 928-638-2673.

The Rodeway Inn - Red Feather Lodge is in the middle of town on the west side of Highway 64.  Phone 928-638-2414.

The Grand Hotel is in the south part of town on the east side of Highway 64.  It is next to the Canyon Star Restaurant.  Phone 928-638-3333.

The Grand Canyon Trading Post is in the middle of town on the east side of Highway 64.  It has gifts and curios.  Next to it is ATV Adventures.  Phone 928-638-2000.

The Monarch Gift Shop is in the middle of town on the east side of Highway 64.  It has gifts and curios.  Next to it is the new Conoco gas station and Food Mart.  Phone 928-638-2608.

Tusayan has gone completely modern with two internet cafes.  Jennifer's Bakery & Internet Cafe is in the middle of town on the east side of Highway 64.  Phone 928-638-3433.  The other one, The Internet Cafe, is in the middle of town on the west side of Highway 64 next to Wendys.

The 7th Wonder Art Gallery is in the same strip shopping center as Jennifer's Bakery & Internet Cafe.  Next to it is the Mexican Kitchen restaurant.  Phone 928-638-1105.

The Cowboys & Indians Western Souvenirs shop is next to the Mexican Kitchen Restaurant at the north end of that same strip shopping center.  The next building to the north is the Steakhouse at the Grand Canyon, also called the Yippee-ei-o Steakhouse.  Call 928-638-2780 for reservations.

At the north end of town on the east side of Highway 64 is another strip shopping center.  The Carvel Ice Cream store is at the south end of the shopping center.  Next to it is the General Store, a full service grocery store with gifts and curios.  It is run by the same company that runs the other General Stores in Grand Canyon Village, the Desert View area, and the North Rim.  Phone 928-638-2854.

At the north end of the above strip shopping center is the We Cook Pizza & Pasta Restaurant.  Phone 928-638-2278.  Just to the north and east of that is the Camper Village RV Park.  It offers full hookups.  There is a charge for showers.  Phone 877-638-2887.

Tusayan even has an Imax theater.  It is in the north part of town on the west side of Highway 64.  Phone 928-638-2468.

The airport is located just south of town on the west side of Highway 64.  It offers sight seeing flights of the Canyon and limited airline service.
