I attended Oklahoma City University on a tennis scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in mathematics. I did graduate work in mathematics at the University of Oklahoma and taught math one semester at the University of Oklahoma and one semester at Oklahoma City University. I then entered the United States Air Force, graduated from Officer Training School and pilot training, and then became a T-38 instructor pilot. In 1997, I retired from the Air Force Reserves. I graduated from Oklahoma City University with a Juris Doctorate degree in Law. After fourteen years of government and private law practice, I was a District Court Judge in Oklahoma for sixteen years. An active tournament tennis player, I also enjoy hiking the Canyon at every opportunity I get.
