ALL HIKERS

POSTSCRIPT

This was a fun hike.  It is one of the easiest you can do in the Canyon.  Layover days at the bottom are a real treat.  Of course, having two steak dinners and a breakfast at Phantom Ranch sure beats freeze dried food.  A beer in the afternoon at the canteen is kind of nice too.  Only hiking from the bottom to Indian Garden was also a pleasant alternative to hiking all the way out.

It was interesting seeing all the equipment and work being done on the water line at Phantom Ranch.  I was surprised that many of the big cottonwood trees down there had been cut down.  I enjoyed meeting Rob of the Wildernessvagabond at Indian Garden.  I've always wanted to take part in one of those volunteer work groups, but the timing has never worked out.
