CLIFF SPRING TRAIL

The Cliff Spring Trail begins at the turnoff just before the Angel's Window and Cape Royal Point.  There is enough parking for three or four  cars.  The trail begins a moderate descent and follows a creek bed for about a quarter mile.

I reach the spring in about fifteen minutes.  Similar to Dripping Springs on the South Rim, water drips from a ceiling cavity of the cliff overhang and forms a pool below.  The area is lush with ferns.

This was a very pleasant short day hike.  The total trip takes less than an hour and is only one-half mile each way.  If you are visiting Cape Royal and the Angel's Window, I highly recommend that you take this hike.
